This morning, we will start our Palau adventure discovering the diverse marine life of the Ulong Channel, one of the must-visit dive sites in Palau. Located on the West side of Ulong Island, the site is famous for its fantastic soft and hard corals, beautiful sea fans, and the multitude of aquatic species, including sharks, groupers, and schooling fish. However, as the currents can be strong and unpredictable, this dive site is more suited for advanced divers.
Snorkelers will appreciate the shallow channel where one can admire the beautiful corals from the surface. The beach of Ulong Island was featured in the reality TV show Survivor Palau (2015) which was filmed here in the past. Passing by Ulong Island, you will see the well-loved beach by the locals and learn about the historical influences dating back to the time when ancient Palauans painted a series of petroglyphs on the high cliffs of the island.

TIP Look out for the soft coral arch- a beautiful natural arch in between two rock islands, incredible pastel colours of soft corals. Photography near the arch, a beautiful huge natural rock island that is shaped like an arch. Return to the hotel for a sunset drink.

The adventure continues with an island culture tour in Babel Daob, the big island of Palau. We will visit a Bai (men meeting house), WWII relics, ancient terraces, and the Badrulchau Stone Monoliths that make up one of the largest archaeological sites in Palau.
Stop for lunch at an old Japanese lighthouse overlooking a magnificent view. We will return through the east side and visit the Palau’s Capitol Building.

Learn more from the craftmakers when visiting Koror State recycling center, which is also home to a recycled glass center. You will get to experience glass blowing with local teachers at the facility. Learn about the history of Palau during a Belau National Museum visit. It is the oldest museum in the Micronesian region, since 1955.
Visit a Giant Clam Hatchery Centre before we head over to the landmark Friendship Bridge and enjoy a picnic lunch.
